Industrial products tend to be made of metal or plastic. Are often boxes large and small with LED panels, monitors, lasers and other low light elements.
Some are small enough and portable allowing them to be brought to the studio to be photographed. But many are too big and heavy with a delivery schedule. They have to be photographed in the factory but made to look as though they were shot in the studio. This latter presents many problems, not with the photography but with controlling the location sufficiently to achieve this effect.
