Client: Gallery of Historical Figures

Gallery of Historical Figures is site dedicated to the collection of over 400 quarter life size Figures of famous men and women in history created by artist G.S. Stuart whose collection is split between his own gallery and the Ventura Museum of History and Art.

This is very much a gallery site which, much like Gourmetvoyageurs.com, is so heavy with photo images that I have kept the graphics as simple as possible even sacrificing attractive navigation buttons for the Figures in favor of simple and fast to load hypertext navigation within each group of Figures.

Each small photo can be clicked for a "pop-up" larger version so visitors can see much more detail which is the main fascination for visitors.

Inevitably, visitors want to know more about the artist and the site attempts to answer their questions and at the same time protecting some of the privacy of the artist.
