Our "How To Photograph Real Estate" workshop

Photographing real estate, buildings and landscape is much harder than one might think. Successful architectural photographers don't grow on trees. But there are still many things the average person can do to make images of houses and their landscape that will help convince people to sign a check faster if they have a positive impression to start off with. Perception is everything and the first impression will set the buyer's receptiveness to any property.

In Brief:

The goal of this workshop is to teach home owners but most probably realestate agents how to utilize various visual approaches to take when photographing properties both outside and inside. Light is of prime importance as are the right lenses on the camera. Propping and framing are just as important. When coupled with our "core" computer lab photo workshop which is tailored to dealing with the particular problems presented by landscape, house and interior photographs. It will allow you full control over getting the best out of your images.

This is very much a location workshop with demonstrations with actual properties. Since few properties are ready for "Architectural Digest", we will show you some things you can do to make the property look the best it can. We will help couple the eye of the realator with that of the photographer. We will "de-mystify" the technology of the digital camera so anyone at any level of competence can learn how to obtain fine images in the camera then how to handle their digital images in the computer - PC or Mac.

Using PhotoShop, students will learn how to prepare their image files for a multitude of uses as well as how to identify and fix problems with the images. Included in this, is instruction on organizing, viewing and cataloguing digital images.
